This was written about a sixteenth century samurai, not long before we recorded it. We rented a lot of seventies kung fu movies on VHS... it got me into reading about that culture. Hachimantaro "first son of the God of War" Is reputed to have been the ultimate badass! When we got this transferred to digital I realized that I'd reused a riff from this song by accident. Check out 'Luchamos' from If Thine Enemy Hunger...chorus is pretty similar to verse of this. Hey, if you're gonna rip off anybody it might as well be yourself!
